2008 CALENDAR OF UPCOMING EVENTS June 5, general meeting. Guest Speakers will be Cecil McLester, a founding member of our club and now winemaker at Antelope Valley winery, along with Allen Quinton, assistant winemaker & wine club and sales mgr., and Kyle Arnote, assistant lab manager. More than likely we'll be tasting... June 7, Wine & Cheese tasting at Stu and Joan Lenoff's. $45 per person until May 12th, $50 thereafter. See the newsletter for all details. This event is a class-act of fine and rare cheeses paired with regional wines from all over. Not to be missed... June 12, Planning Party, location pending. All members are welcome. June 25, "Barrel Samples South". At the Wine Crush in Long Beach, hosted by our South Bay members. See the map on how to get there. In the evening, after work (6:30?). July 3, no meeting. Have a fun and safe holiday. July 10, planning party. August 2, California Rare Fruit Growers meeting, possibly with us. (Whereabouts unknown) August 7, general meeting November 2, 35th annual home wine competition, sponsored by us of course. Date tentative... December 27, annual club holiday party, Date tentative...
Monthly membership meetings are usually on the first Thursday of each month (except December), 6:30 pm at the shop. Planning party meetings are usually the second Thursday of each month (7:00 pm) at various member's homes. There are always exceptions: look here before driving... |
